Just a few days ago I was able to attend the Student Life Mission Camp with the junior high students at Brook Hills. It was a wonderful time together in the Word helping us answer the question, “Who do you say that I am?” based on the question that Jesus asked Peter in Mark 8:29. One’s answer to this question has eternal consequences. It was a wonderful time together getting to know students and seeing them share the love of God at various mission sites. At my group’s site, The Boys and Girls Club in Lincoln, we saw two of the kids come to know Christ. Other youth groups who attended the camp saw some of their own students come to know Christ as well.
On July 1, I will depart from Birmingham to make another trip to Germany. As I have written in the past, this trip will help determine my future in Germany. I simply ask that you please pray for the following:
- Pray for safety travelling to and from Germany and as I travel within Germany
- Pray that there would be a common vision in ministry between the Pioneer missionaries, Alan and Mary, and me as we begin meeting
- Pray for Alan and Mary as they make the decision about me joining their team in Heidelberg
- Pray for Gospel centered conversations with the individuals with whom I will be connecting with both in Germany and on the plane or train
- Pray that the Lord would begin to work in the hearts of these individuals
- Pray for future ministry opportunities in Germany
I thank everyone for your continued support and prayers over the past 6 years as I have been serving in Germany. I look forward to seeing how God will shape this upcoming trip and how He will open the door allowing me to serve Him in Germany.
