My name is Tyler B., and I was born in 1988 and reared in Pell City, Alabama. I am the youngest of four boys. I graduated from Southeastern Bible College in Birmingham, Alabama, in 2011, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible and Theology with a minor in Intercultural Ministry. I have served in Germany from 2008 on Short-term Trips until moving to Germany in 2015, where I lived in Heidelberg, Germany, until 2017. Currently, I am serving in Vienna, Austria.
I surrendered my life to Christ at the age of 9 and to the call to ministry at the age of 16.
I made my first short-term mission trip to Germany in 2008. While there, I would partner with local churches in the Stuttgart area, working with kids and teens. I would return to Stuttgart every year for various amounts of time, continuing to build on past relationships and partnerships. 2011 was the only year I did not return to Germany; instead, I served in a different context of the world for 2 months at the suggestion of my Sending Church. It was because of that trip in 2011, I knew Germany and Europe were where the Lord was leading me.
In December 2013, I joined Pioneers, a faith-based mission-sending agency in Orlando, Florida. Before moving to Germany in 2015, I was active in my sending church, The Church at Brook Hills, teaching a small group of teenagers, who I would walk through life with since they were in 4th grade (2008/2009 school year) up until their sophomore school year of high school, when I would move to Germany. I would help where needed in the Youth Ministry Department, and I was active in a Singles Small Group and met weekly with a mentor.
In July 2014, I made an introductory trip to meet with Pioneer missionaries in Heidelberg, Germany, where I received two thumbs up to join their team.
In October 2015, I would relocate from Pell City, AL to Heidelberg, Germany, to begin full-time ministry. After serving for two years in Germany, I moved back to the United States in November of 2017 for what was thought to be a short 6-month Home Assignment.
While in the US during Home Assignment, the direction and focus of ministry would change from Germany to Austria. I would go on another vision trip in 2018, meeting with a team in Vienna. Through much prayer and encouragement from family and his sending church, and confirmation from the Lord, I would begin to seek support for ministry in Vienna. I would make another trip to Vienna in 2019 to meet with potential ministry partners and gain a better understanding of the ministry needs and opportunities that would be available.
As of May 2021, I am serving in Vienna, Austria. I am partnering with the local church and an a Community Center. To learn more about me and the work I am doing; as well as my local ministry partners; please contact me.
I have participated in short-term mission work in Venezuela, Germany, and an undisclosed country in Southeast Asia.
