Germany A Top Destination for Migrants

A survey by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development has revealed that Germany is the number 2 destination for permanent migration.  In 2012, Germany attracted 400,000 permanent immigrants.

What does this mean?  Simply, that the focus of a missionary living in Germany cannot be focused on German nationals, but must also be focused on the nations.  Right outside of Heidelberg, is a refugee camp with over 500 inhabitants in crowded accommodations.  Current Pioneer missionaries are seizing this opportunity to work with these refugees and I soon hope to join.  Families in this camp come from countries in the Middle East and Africa.

Heidelberg is also home to Heidelberg University, the oldest university in Germany founded in 1386.  This university has roughly 5,400 international students out of an enrollment of 31,353.  With the refugee camp and the university having such diversity, it allows for the Gospel to be heard by those who might not ever have a chance to hear.  It also allows for the opportunity to disciple new believers to then go back to their home country and live out and share Gospel truth.

I invite you to join me in ministry as a prayer partner.  I ask that you would pray for the work currently going on in Heidelberg and that the Lord would continue to open the doors for families and individuals to hear the Gospel.

I would also like to invite you to become a financial partner.  To give you may go to www.pioneers.org/giving.  My account number is 112086.  All donations are tax deductible.

For His glory,
