2013 was a year that sent me in a downward spiral. As my last blog in May 2013 stated that I was turned down my a mission agency. This sent me to a place where I lost my push to go anywhere towards Germany. In August of 2013, I spent a week in Tampa, FL on a mission trip that was sponsored by the Church in Sindelfingen. They sent a group of their youths to work with their church partner. It was through this trip that the Lord helped give me my push to continue to work towards Germany.
This lead me to return home and search for organizations. Two great organizations came up and I reached out to both. Each organization had great aspects to them. After speaking with both and prayer, the Lord lead me to pursue one. In December I attended Candidate Orientation Program with Pioneers (PI). After this week, they offered me the opportunity to be an Appointee with their ministry. I gladly accepted!
Throughout 2014, I will be doing various things to prepare for my departure to Germany. This will also include an introductory trip in July to meet with PI missionaries in Heidelberg. I will spend this week getting to know them, working alongside them, and also discussing what it might look like for me to partner with them in the future.
