I am sorry that I have not kept this up-to-date. I am not good at doing blogs, nor am I that great of a writer.
I have been very busy over the last 2 weeks.
As I have been here, there have been times where I have gotten down. Part of it could be that it gets very lonely in the apartment. Just last night I was able to get the internet connected to my computer, so maybe I will be up-dating this more.
I have been involved with the Children's Ministries here at the International Baptist Church. Mainly doing a lot of cleaning and reorganizing. They are getting things prepared for their summer program. I will be helping a lot with this as well.
The Bible tells us in II Timothy 4:2 - Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. This verse came alive to me on Sunday morning. Before church had begun, I went to the Children's Director and had asked her if there was any I could do. She did not have anything, but asked where she could find me just in case. I told her I would be in the sanctuary. As I was sitting in there waiting for the service to start, I heard my name being called. Looked up and it was the Children's Director needing me to take a class for a teacher who was sick. So I went in there and was glazing over the lesson, when she came to me with some papers and told me that it was also this teacher's time to teach the Big Group. I was in panic mood at this time. But I asked the Lord for guidance and that His will would be done. I thank Christ today still, for letting Sunday go by very smoothly and giving me peace.
Friday will start the MeetJesusWeek. This is a time that the church plant and another church here in Stuttgart, along side the IBC (Internatioinal Baptist Church) is putting on as a major outreach to the German people. I ask that you please be in great prayer during this event, that the Lord's will be done and that God will speak through the evangelist. I also ask that you be in prayer for the safe arrival and travel from a U.S. Team that is coming from outside of Tampa, Florida, who will be helping with the event as well.
One of the things I love to do is fly. I have been over the past few days been keeping up with this Air France flight that has disappeared. What a tragic event. Let us be in prayer for these families who lost loved ones. We know as Christians that every thing that happens happens for a reason, let us also pray that when every thing is said and done, that the Lord will be glorified.
