3 Months Down

Brüder und Schwestern,

A lot has happened since arriving in Germany in October of last year.  This is my 3 month anniversary!  I am honored to be able to serve God here and be His vessel to proclaim the Gospel.

There is exciting news that has come out of a church that I have began to partner with.  This church has opened its doors to refugees at a nearby camp one night a week.  Back in December, this church showed the Jesus film in four different languages.  In one room was a group from a Middle Eastern country, after the film was over, a handful of these men had questions as to what they had just watched.  After an hour and half of talking with the church leaders, these men surrendered their life to Christ to follow Him!  PRAISE GOD!!!  I look forward to continuing to partner with this church and seeing how God will work in this ministry!  A discipleship program has been developed to disciple these new believers.

Just think, these men, had they not come to Germany would possibly have died without knowing God.  We must continue to pray for the refugees, not only here in Germany and Europe, but also for those who will be arriving on American soil.  Let us pray that the Church will stand up and not be afraid of these people, but welcome them with open, Christ loving arms!  The scripture tells use in 2 Timothy 1:6-7, “For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”

I almost have 1 month of language under my belt.  While there are days my head just literally hurts, I keep telling myself that in the end, it will be worth it in the end.  Please pray that as I continue to press on in this task, that the Lord would allow me to understand the things I need to understand (words and grammar) and that I would be able to apply my new learning to everyday life and be able to communicate.  I am slowly seeing a progress.  Confidence is also needed!

Praise the Lord that support is now at 100%.  I am forever grateful to those who are making the sacrifice in financial giving.  I cannot say “Thank you” or “Danke schön” enough!!!  Even though I am now fully supported, one time gifts are always appreciated!  Unexpected expenses always arise.  Also, praise the Lord that I have an apartment!!!  I will be able to move into my new place the first week of March!  Be on the lookout for a new address coming soon!!
