Waiting on the S-Bahn

As I sit here, I am waiting for the train to stop so I can take it to my language class. This class as kept me extremely busy. Not only that, but almost every day I am getting a head ache from it, because of the intensity that is involved.
I cannot believe that 3 weeks have already gone by. It seemed just like yesterday that I was landing in Stuttgart. But there has been much work that has been done, and much more that will need to be completed.

The Church Plant outside of Stuttgart has started the Festival and I am involved with that on Sundays. At the Festival, they have a public viewing of the fame for those who want to come and watch the game. This past Sunday they have probably around 50 or so. Before all the games begin they also have a Kid’s Program for the kid’s in the community. About 20 kids came to this. Last year I wrote about a kid named Bob (name has been changed for security purposes). He was the kid that had the bandage on his arm from a bike accident that I accidentally hurt worse, by grabbing his arm and touching his wound. This upset him greatly and he would not talk to me the rest of my time here. I meet him again on Sunday, and this time he still had his problems with me, still remembering what I did to him last year. Once again I apologized to him, but it took him awhile before he finally came around to me and forgave me.

Work at the IBC is keeping me busty as well. I am doing work for the Children’s Ministry as well as work for the building maintenance guy. Last Friday, I was able to use a floor buffer to clean the kitchen floor at the church. Later this week, I will use it again to clean and buff a hallway within the church. Sunday, I also helped in the 5 years old class. It was a group of about 20 kids, 5 of which were girls.

In a couple of weeks (July 18), I will have the opportunity to speak to the youth group at the church in Sindelfingen. I am not sure as of yet what I will speak about, but there will be a time of Q&A. I will be sitting down this upcoming Sunday with the Youth Minister to talk about what she is looking for and get things arranged.

Also, there is also the chance to go to North Germany, the Berlin area. The family I am staying with, the Mornhinweg, have 5 children, 1 who is married, 1 who is in the university, 1 who is in North Germany doing his 2 year service that is required, and the last 2 are still at home. On June 30, Mr. Mornhinweg will be going to pick up his son who is in North Germany, as he has finished his 2 years of service.

I have not had a chance to go to Perl as of this time. I am hoping that sometime in July, I will be able to. The Mornhinweg family said that they would be willing to take me, but they have had a busy schedule themselves over the past few weeks.
I thank each of you for your prayers and ask that you please continue to pray. My time here is quickly coming to an end and there seems to be some much left to do still. Pray that I will be able to accomplish he things that I need to accomplish.

In Christ,

Tyler A. Bowman
