I arrived in France safely on the 3rd of July. The flights went great and only one was late and that was the one out of Düsseldorf to Nice. It was about 45 minutes leaving.
I have been in France now for about 2 full days. After spending 6 weeks in Germany, guess what my ears are not use to listening to? Yes, that is right, French. When I first heard a conversation taking place in French, I started laughing inside.
Even now, when someone says “Bonjour” to me, my first response is “Hallo”. Or even when I am asked a “Yes” or “No” question (I do know the basic French, “Oui” and “Non”), I still want to answer with the “Ja” or “Nein”. But it’s all good.
On another note, I went to church with my grandparents this morning and again this afternoon. This morning I was introduced to the pastor and he immediately asked if I would share a little about what happened in Germany. Of course, I did.
Also, on the 3rd, my grandparents held a Prayer Meeting in their home. They do this on the first Friday of the month. While there, I got to see an old family friend (Jan Muzert) that I haven’t seen in about 8 to 9 years. They are missionaries to Russia. Her husband, Eric, was in Russia getting ready for their next Students for Christ Camp. She was able to share some of the work that the Lord has done and share some of what they are getting ready to do. I did not catch any of it as she spoke in French, but she did translate the night for me. After see spoke, they prayed over the work and ministry, and then my grandfather turned to me and asked me to share with the group as well what I was able to experience and see the Lord do in Germany.
I cannot believe it, but this trip is almost over, only 5 more days to go and it literally seems like I just left yesterday for Germany. But I praise the Lord for what I was able to experience and learn through this trip.
Please join me in prayer about next year and what the Lord would have me to do.
